Imagine a place at the hour of sundown. When the colors of the earth become a bit darker and clash with the fierceness of the sky. We assemble at our safari club tennis court. This court of dark purple clay amid fields where we hit a few balls to then just give in to the magic of our surrounding. The sky is still brightly lit up in white and citron with clouds of different shades of purple. Not very far zebras are passing by slowly. When eventually it is completely dark, we return to our tents. At night we can hear different animals, and we can see the stars and the moon, too. In the morning we get up early to go on adventure. We follow sandy trails between bushes to see wild animals. We visit vast landscapes and find endless rose pink sand dunes of simple shapes particularly gripping ... DREAMING OF WINTERS IN AFRICA
The AW23 collection GRIPPING is inspired by this African safari dream of finding yourself in beautiful landscapes with beautiful animals and incredible colors ... and whilst we know that Africa is not that one thing, so much more diverse and distinct, it still greatly catches us with its youthful vibes, its individualist styling, and its craft of “symmetry by the eye”
